Dinner and Dance 2013

My company had a dinner and dance function at Raffles City Convention Centre recently, and here are some pictures I took that night!! You can decide if I'm a sorceress, a vampire or Christine Daae (from the Phantom). No I'm not a witch!!!

Outfit was rented from a shop in Bugis called Global Mascot. Shoutout to them because I bargained for a good price :X Their store is HUUUGE. It takes up two store spaces, has an area at the back AND I saw a staircase leading up to more stuff!!! Also, after I tried this outfit, I noticed there was a slight rip, and an uncle promptly took the dress for me and sewed it on the spot.

My computer is kaput, and other news

A million apologies for the lack of updates... my desktop computer is completely spoilt and I've been trying to fix it to no avail!!

I had to dig out the laptop I used in university and it's RIDDEN with viruses even though I've already ran scans using Malware Bytes. All of it started when I downloaded a chinese software, now I can't get rid of it. Sigh.

Anyway, thanks so much for the birthday wishes and the get well soon greetings!! I really appreciate each and every one of them, and I remember all your lovely comments :) I didn't throw any parties this year, decided to have a lunch/dinner with loved ones instead. I'm officially 24 but from next year onwards my age will stagnate!!

Many thanks to HTC for the Butterfly S which has an AMAZING battery life!! I don't even have to bring a spare charger or cable out anymore. It lasts THE WHOLE DAY and I'm constantly on Facebook, Twitter and Whatsapp. The Zoe camera mode allows you to remove objects from the picture, and there are a lot of in built editing functions like slimming your face, filters that you can make use of!!


During the week, my rabbit Squishy broke her nail. I was so worried but after constant reassuring from my friend who's a vet and other rabbit owners, I relaxed and decided to let it drop off. Bought antiseptic spray and powder just in case, and that same night the nail dropped off and I saw some dried blood! Poor Squishy must've been in pain :(


If you've been following me on Twitter and my Facebook page, you'll know I dressed up as a sorceress for my company's DnD recently with my hair styled by Aqua Hair Korean Salon. Stay tuned for more pictures!

Also, thanks to HTC, I was invited to Starhub's TVB Awards where I dressed like a rockstar with my half braided, half curled hair, styled by Komachi Hair Salon and amazzzing customised bling heels by Sinderella!

Attended the 2013 Johnny Walker Circuit Lounge party and might have had a bit too much whisky that night but how could you not when it was in ice cream form or mixed into a delicious concoction??

Congratulations Yongli and Rachel on their marriage!! The food was delicious!!!

Elizabeth Arden 'Untold' Perfume



Not too long ago, Elizabeth Arden invited us to watch We're the Millers at GV Gold Class, Vivocity! It was my first time watching a movie in gold class so I was pretty excited. However, because Vivo is pretty far from my place and by the time Sarah and I reached the theatre, the movie had already started so we rushed in. It's been a looong time since I've seen babygirl Sarah and I'm so happy we got to catch up after! *hugs*

We were personally ushered to our luxurious red cushioned seats and before I could settle down, I was asked to to pick my choice of food -  Chicken briyani, mushroom quiche or fish and chips. I picked fish and chips without hesitation, eager to immerse myself in the movie. Then I had to pick choice of drink, whether I wanted coffee or tea after and was alerted that there would be dessert served at the end. When I thought my order taking was over, the waiter asked if I wanted salty, sweet or mixed popcorn! Halfway through I couldn't concentrate on what he was saying because I really wanted to focus on the movie. Guess that's what happens when you're late for a movie, will order in advance the next time!

Introducing... the family

We're the Millers was pretty comical and had its funny, tongue-in-cheek moments. It's about this guy David Clarke (I kept thinking of Revenge, if you watch the American drama) who is robbed of his savings and his drug stash, and has to smuggle drugs from Mexico to earn enough to cover his debt and make a hefty profit while he's at it. Fearing that he would look too suspicious alone, he asks his goody two shoes neighbour, Kenny, a runaway, Casey and convinces his stripper friend Rose (aka Jennifer Aniston) to come along to play the facade of a happy family. Of course, as they aren't actually related, trouble ensues.

Morale of the story is that Jennifer Aniston is hot and she's still got it even though she's... whatever age she is.


Anyway, the best thing about watching Gold Class is that you can talk to your partner next to you without whispering, can easily leave the theatre (eg toilet or phone call) with minimal disturbance, and those automated reclining seats are soooo awesome and incredibly comfy. Oh, and I wasn't cold at all because a blanket was also provided! However. the downside of having too amazing huge seats is that you're far away from your partner so there's no snuggling or cuddling possible. Guess horror shows aren't a good idea?


Was really happy to see the Elizabeth Arden girls - it's been too long -  and Tiphanie was due in a month!! Super elated and can't wait to see her adorable baby. When I said hello to her baby, Tiphanie said she was moving around! Hehe. Now Tiphanie has delivered her adorable baby girl so big congrats to Tiffy!

Foxtrot's closing down sale!

I can never have enough heels, bags and accessories!! They seem to match SO many outfits and have a longer lifespan than most clothes. So when foxtrot told me about their closing down sale with some items going for 50% off, I just had to make a trip down!

With pretty Atsuko-chan who speaks really good English and arranged to meet me at the store! Was trying to practice my broken Japanese with her and she's so patient with me *_* If you're lucky on weekdays you'll be able to spot her around Raffles Place, hehe!

Foxtrot is located in Serangoon Gardens. Look out for a HUGE pink foxtrot sign, directly opposite Chomp Chomp food centre!!


Really liked the welcoming and girly atmosphere. Sometimes I fear going to the second storey of shophouses because you never know what might happen lol #paranoid
Foxtrot has a really wide range of shoes, from pretty flats, glamour heels, casual sandals to comfy platforms, all encased in a pretty ribboned shoebox. Their bags are made of fine quality leather and inspired by trends and styles from all over the world. 

In the short time I was there, they managed to sell so many bags!! It's no surprise because they're definitely a steal. Leather bags for $69, how could it not tempt you??? I was super tempted and went crazy just trying them on hehe. 

All heels are $39 with rubber sandals going at $19!! Plus some shoes have additional paddings on the balls of your feet for extra comfort! 


Bling bling evening shoes. Check out the crystals on this one. Definitely a head turner!

Tried these ultra high heels and I felt half a head taller! Clothes are being sold for $10 - $19 too!

Goodbye Tsukiji Fish Market.

According to Today,



"The city is planning to spend US$4.5 billion (S$5.7 billion) to relocate the market — nicknamed Tsukiji for the neighbourhood that surrounds it — to a modern, climate-controlled distribution centre on a man-made island in three years. The move is part of a broader face-lift Tokyo is planning before the 2020 Olympics.

Officials say they want to redevelop the market’s estimated 20 hectares of land, valued in the billions, into high-rise apartments and a tunnel that will connect Tokyo to the islands that will house new Olympic sites. "

It's really saddening to see it go. I've had amazingly fresh sushi there, sigh. Be sure to make a trip down before Tsukiji... well... isn't located in Tsukiji anymore.
