ZA Rich-Glam Liquid Rouge Review

Hello everyone! Sorry for the long hiatus, was living it up spending lots of time with family and friends, travelled to HK (yes, again, but who could resist when flights were only $200 return?!)

2013 had its ups and downs but one thing is for sure - I've emerged stronger. Thank you for continuing to support me and leaving me encouraging comments, or sweet emails of inspiration, I really appreciate all of it and will work harder in 2014!

A while ago I was invited to a ZA Rouge Affair that introduced us to their new range of liquid rouges! There were a few activity stalls set up so we could get to know the products better and bring home some more goodies!

Activity 1: Revealed with a kiss!

We just had to try out their new liquid rouges for ourselves, right? Here, a shade of rich-glam liquid rouge was applied on us and we had to kiss a serviette to find out our lip shape! Mine's full and wide, like Anne Hathaway's hehe.

Anne Hathaway has a gorgeous smile, mesmerizing.

While waiting for our turn, with pretty Yijing!

I really liked how moisturizing the liquid rouge was on my lips! :)

Activity 2: Toss & Win~!

We were given a few small flowers and had to attempt to throw them into shot glasses with prize labels on them! It was really tough and I don't think I have very good throwing skills hahah. Whoever is good at this can probably fully utilize those arcade rewards  ;X

Activity 3: Identifying materials!

As gripz was one of the sponsors for the event, there was a booth where we were introduced to different types of leather that gripz uses for their shoes!

Yijing and I managed to guess the right material from the sample and got a little prize!

There was another activity where we had to turn over cards to match 2 photos at a time, but I was too excited to take a photo. Oops.

We got to bring two shades home to play with! Sharp eyes will notice I'm wearing the CJC PE t-shirt hahaha.

I'm really happy with the ZA Rich-Glam Liquid Rouges ($18.90) because I can easily get the rich colour of lipstick AND shine of lipgloss in one application!

Also, the ultra fit applicator helps ensure that the appropriate amount of liquid is held in the curve and fits your lips perfectly, so it doesn't pick up too much product and you can apply straightaway!

Thank you ZA for having me! Here's a group picture with my blogger friends :) The liquid rouges are available in stores from 30 Jan 2014.

Cadbury spreads the joy of giving for Christmas

In line with the festive season and spirit, Cadbury invited us to experience their Joy of Giving experience onboard their Joyrider!! Nurul and I were early so we walked around Cathay playing around with the Casio Exilim EX-ZR1200. We were very impressed because even the normal shots had a slight beauty effect about them!

Zero image editing on my end, this was straight from the camera! I like how the camera makes you look younger :3 All photos taken in this entry are from the Casio Exilim ZR1200 :)

All aboard the Joyrider! In a recent poll conducted by Cadbury, 91% of Singaporeans prefer to give presents as opposed to other means of giving and 76% said that they like giving gifts as they are able to share joy with others. My favourite part of giving presents is watching the receivers reaction. You can tell alot by the initial look through the expression in their eyes and excitement in their voice! (Unless of course, they're already seasoned, trained professionals).

Singaporeans' 3 top emotional draws they receive when giving are "happiness", "joy" and "love", which I wholly agree with. Seeing other people happy makes me happy too!

The inside of the Joyrider transports you to a purple sky with beautiful snowflakes and christmas cheer. If you're wondering about the star effect, that's a function in the Casio Exilim ZR1200! Pretty neat huh.

Until I forgot to switch the mode back to normal. Turned out alright and the camera is pretty smart in detecting faces! Again, loving the natural looking, flawless skin effect. The Joyrider had many accessories on board for you to wear and take pictures with to get you into the Christmas mood!

It was a rainy day that afternoon, but on board the Joyrider made me imagine that the raindrops were like snow.

Of course, being on the Joyrider, you'll have plenty of... Cadbury chocolate! Everyone became starry-eyed as they were served chocolate that never seemed to run out. DREAM COME TRUE.

As part of Cadbury's Joy of Giving campaign, hop onto Cadbury's Joyrider for free on:

14 Dec 1-5pm at Downtown East or
check Cadbury's Facebook page for more locations, routes and times you can hop onto the Joyrider until Christmas!

Riders aboard will enjoy a fun-filled journey into Joyville - Cadbury's mythical and joyful land with tons of chocolates and magic!

Happy campers helping themselves to the chocolate. The kids were bouncing in their seats the whooole way. Nobody was crying (how could anyone cry when you're stuck in a bus filled with chocolate??)

Along the way we played a few games, shan't spoil them for you, but winners get additional goodies like Cadbury exclusive merchandise not sold in stores!!

I played and walked away with a Cadbury tote bag. Woohoo!!

We stopped at Singapore Flyer to take photos with the bus to commemorate our Cadbury experience.

And also forgot to switch my camera back to normal mode, but the photos turned out nice anyway! Here's our shot with the Cadbury Joyrider crew.

And another with everyone on the bus!! See how many kids there were??

Here's another shot without the star effect, photo credits to Cadbury!

As part of the “Joy of Giving” campaign, Cadbury will be donating S$1 for every S$15 purchase of Cadbury products (up to S$30,000) and additional donations will be collected on the Joyrider. All proceeds will go to the Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund.

Spread the joy of giving! To find out more about the poll from fellow Singaporeans, click on the infographic below!

Photos are taken with a Casio Exilim EX-ZR1200, thank you Casio, and thank you Cadbury for this amaazing afternoon transporting us to Joyville!

AFA 2013, Marble Wonderland Collection Singapore

Thank you AFA for the media passes this year! So glad that the crowd control, layout of the booths and backstage access were improved tremendously from last year, so well done organizers!! I like checking out AFA because you get to see a different side of Singapore, check out the latest anime, and of course, my favourite would be checking out the fashion and makeup of Japanese girls through the Marble Wonderland Collection!

This year's AFA had an amazing opportunity for a lucky winner to get an all expenses paid trip to Japan to be the voice for one of their characters in the anime "Knights of Sidonia"!! I signed up just for kicks but totally did not expect the public speaking aspect. We had to read three parts of the script in front of an audience!

I think they were looking for girls who put a lot of emotions in their voice and can speak japanese and I was completely unprepared and nervous so I don't think I did well. Oh well it was a fun chance to add XP points to my public speaking!

Here's some snapshots I took while I was there on Saturday.

Cute girl in a yukata, check.

Long queues to get a chance to buy limited edition collectibles, check.

yThis booth by Aoyama 3D Salon caught my eye because you can print a 3D model of anything by using a scanner!! They were demonstrating the scan process on volunteers, and their 3D printer prints everything down to the colour. Amazing right! It was also on sale specially for AFA brought by Sanfride inc.

Japanese celebrities in town just to promote their latest anime series, check!

Saw this lady with a beautiful and elaborate costume at Rakuten and just had to take a photo with her! They were also giving away Brands Collagen samples. Yay!

This 1:1 scale titan head freaked the crap outta me. Pretty sure other people were afraid of it too. Not going to enlarge this picture but if you're interested you can click on it for a better view!

Anime Katteni O-en Project girls

Caught Anime Katteni O-en Project girls signing autographs!~

Guys playing card games, check.

I really applaud these people who take so much time and effort to make a costume from scratch!! It must take a lot of endurance, and really good sewing skills, or a pro sewing machine at least.

Popped by the Atelier Royale to support Yutaki!! This year the maid and butler cafe combine spaces to serve delicious food for guests of AFA. Not just any maid or butler, but super cute girls and handsome guys that were handpicked just for the job!

Was running out of time so I headed to the Marble Wonderland Collection Fashion show and performance

Asia Kawaii Way - the way to make girls "Kawaii" We saw Hachioji P known as the track maker of Hatsune Miku, 217 &Miume as dancers striking popularity on video sites and twins Amiaya with their concept of Tokyo pop.

From the fashion aspect, Marble Wonderland Collection introduces Japanese girls' fashion in three main areas - Harajuku, Shibuya and Akihabara!

Ladies on the catwalk: Misako Aoki, pioneer of Lolita fashion and officially appointed as Kawaii ambassador by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Natsumi Saito and Tenchim, popular models of street fashion, and Alodia Gosiengfiao (how cool is the name Alodia?!) who has 2.31 million likes on Facebook and has been cosplaying since she was 15.

Here are some exclusive backstage shots!

After the show, I went to check out the Asia Kawaii Way corner :)

We were in for a treat! Some of these products were not even available in Singapore!! Many people asked about purchasing them but were disappointed.

Koji had their variety of Dolly Wink eyelashes, Tutti showcased their colour contact lenses with different series to make your eyes larger, cuter, and more mesmorizing. Of course, no Japanese launch would be complete without FEAT's strong fiber which turns single eyelids into double ones. Girls also tried out Homei's nail decoration and Kotsuban Makutsubo Belt which boasts it's a perfect diet program!

Shades from Shine, really unique designs using chains and rhinestones!! If you've got attitude this will complete your look.

Thank you AFA and Asia Kawaii Way! I bought Priscila wigs hehe

Leaving you with a video of the Marble Wonderland collection snippets video. See you at AFA next year!
