Starcount Launch - The new popularity and fan engagement measurement

A while ago, I was invited to the launch of Starcount, held at Pangaea! I had never been there before so it took me a while to even locate where it was.

The walkway to Pangaea was filled with items up for aunction! There were Michael Jackson gloves, to guitars, to golf sets, to autographed photos etc! Was pretty awesome. If I had a gallery I would've tried bidding :)

Starcount is essentially the world's first and largest digital platform for social entertainment charts, aiming to provide the most extensive range of charts to measure social media popularity for fans, talent, media and brands.

They aggregate public information across many social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Mixi, Google plus and more! The portal and analytics allows global brands to gather insights on their Asian consumers to improve their strategies and increase growth.

Next, we learnt about The Social Star Awards which excited me the most! It will be a global telecast event starting next year, to honour and REWARD the world's biggest international superstars in social media from music to movies to TV and even to sports!

The Awards is supported by Singapore Tourism Board and will take place on the 31st of May 2013 at Marina Bay Sands! It will be produced by the same team who created the F1 Rocks event in Singapore and the Victoria's Secret Fashion Shows in the USA. Am going to make sure I won't be overseas during that period just so I can catch the award show!

The Singapore Social is a 2 day music extravaganza hosted at Gardens by the Bay (which I haven't checked out yet) on the 1st and 2nd of June 2013, featuring the top music stars of social media from around the world (fingers crossed Lady Gaga will be here again!) and will be streamed live on social media feeds and broadcast globally on TV!
