Elizabeth Arden's CNY Celebration!

11:45 AM claire 1 Comments

I have accumulated quite a backlog of blog entries! Was invited by Elizabeth Arden for a Chinese New Year Yu Sheng session with the other bloggers! It was held at

Red House Seafood Restaurant
#01-14 The Quayside
60 Robertson Quay
Singapore 238 252
Tel: +65 6735 7666

Although it was a weekday evening, the place was quite packed! There were many Japanese, Western, and Koreans among the crowd in addition to the usual chinese doing their lou hei. It was quite funny because they were staring at us all in wonder as we shouted and said all the auspicious words while tossing the yu sheng hahaha.

The goodie bag that they gave us!

We all sat at their largest round table and were given extra long chopsticks for the yu sheng mixing!
Comparative photograph haha. The pair of chopsticks in the middle are the usual sized ones!
Before the mixing. I felt that the slices of sashimi could've been fresher though!
You have to say auspicious words relating to each ingredient you add to the mix, I can't remember any of them accurately. Oops.
Here we go!

Our mess
Sharks fin soup
Buttered Prawns! These were really fresh!
Fried fish. This was yummy!
With Sarah! I didn't have time to snap pictures with the other bloggers because they all left so early :(
Her make up is always immaculately PERFECT. If you need make up advice or want to hire her as a make up artist you can check out her blog! Here!
The curry crabs! I think they ordered a super large portion but by this time we were all so full! We ordered 2 baskets of man tou (fried buns) to dip into the sauce and eat. It was so cute because it was Sarah's first yu sheng and she was inquisitive about the dishes and she loved this.

We also had chicken and noodles but I think I forgot to take a photo of those. We were SOOO STUFFED at the end of the dinner!!
The 3 products I got to try!

Introducing, the 8 Hour Cream - Intensive moisturizing body treatment

A perfect companion to our original classic and just what the body needs. This fast-absorbing hydrating cream lavishes the entire body. Saturates deeply and moisturizes intensely to reverse skin dryness and flaking. Leaves skin luxuriously soft and smooth for eight beautiful hours.

I use this on areas that are more prone to dryness (eg, elbows, legs) and you can see the results instantly.

8 Hour Cream - Skin Protectant
The skincare classic that smoothes and softens skin. Protects against and helps alleviate symptoms of chapping, peeling and windburn due to dryness from exposure to the elements.

Tried this out before I went to work (aircon is so drying to the skin!) and it's really moisturizing!

Eight Hour Cream Intensive Moisturizing Hand Treatment
Is now my life saver. I keep it in my pencil case and bring it everywhere I go so I can moisturize my hands. Hands are one of the most obvious tell tale signs of your real age!! (You can have all the botox or plastic surgery in the world but if your hands are wrinkly... we will all know how old you are)

This fast-absorbing gel cream for the hands moisturizes for up to eight hours. Soothing emollients smooth and soften rough, weather-exposed skin. Signs of dryness and cracking are reversed so hands look and feel soft and touchable.

Loved how they added two oranges inside to create the whole Chinese New Year vibe! Elizabeth Arden's signature colour is RED, anyway. Which is an awesome colour.
With everyone! After the event, Elizabeth Arden sent us these pictures for us to remember this fun night :)
Elizabeth Arden is available in many departmental stores in Singapore! Try it out when you can!
