Magic to Win Movie!

This week was so awesome I barely had time to tweet or blog. So sorry! I managed to catch two EPIC movies and now I'm going to share one with you!

"Magic to Win"
is directed by Wilson Yip (叶伟信), produced by Raymond Wong (黄百鸣). The movie stars Raymond Wong (黄百鸣), Wu Chun(吴尊), Louis Koo (古天乐), Wu Jing (吴京), Karena Ng (吴千语) & Yan Ni (闫妮). Based on the famous “Happy Ghost” Chinese series to building on the highly successful “Happy Ghost” franchise,  “Magic to Win” revolves around a girl who inherits superpowers from her father. She finds life drastically different when she starts to use her unique powers to enjoy the daily convenience and to excel in sports. She soon draws unwanted attention from a family nemesis waiting to exact revenge on her father.

This Happy Ghost series (that I don't recall watching) ran for five films from 1984 to 1991. That's why I don't remember it! It's because I hadn't been born yet or was only 2 years old in my own baby talk world. But I asked my mum and my tuition kid's mum and THEY REMEMBER!! :O I'm sure it was really popular and successful and they all recognised Raymond Wong!!

Ok I really wish I brought a DSLR.
 Blur but still so cute?!?!?
From Producer Raymond Wong
"When I decided to start filming "Magic to Win", I hired the awarded crew from Ip Man to tailor make the script; with the concept of fantasy, coupled with CGI effects, including the elements of youth, adventure and action."
 From Scriptwriter Edmond Wong
"Every time when I was writing a story, apart from hoping the audience enjoys the movie, I wish the movie leaves them with a positive message, and this is the meaning and value of making movies! The theme chosen this time are time and happiness, and we are eager to let the audience watch it light-heartedly and to understand the importance of living for the moment and to seize the day!"
 Quoting from the script:
"We definitely have the power to choose the way we live every day, happy or sad!"

Wu Chun started his career as one of the members of Farenheit, then expanded his career to be an actor, starring in several Taiwanese dramas! He also starred in The Butterfly Lover (2008) and 14 Blades (2010)

Heehee Wu Chun closed eyes also so cute. That's why I inserted this picture

The movie also stars Wu Jing! Who shares similar background as the world-renowned kungfu star Jet Li and competed as a member of the Beijing Wuchu Team! He made his international debut in The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008).  Up and coming kungfu star!
Raymond Wong (in the white pants!) is an actor, film director, producer, screenwriter and a presenter. So talented!! He is one of the most successful producers in Hong Kong cinema and widely recognised!
To watch the entire press conference (and feel like you're sitting right in front of Wu Chun himself), just go to BLOGTV! :D Filmed just for all of you!

I SAW WU CHUN THRICE ON TUESDAY!! *jumps up and down happily*

Was invited to the exclusive press conference (get to strike another item off my bucket list) and that's how all the pictures above were taken :)

My pass!
Photo with Danny Yeo, Deenise and Hayley! Didn't get a photo with Alvin darn!!

SECOND TIME: Was when he had his autograph session at Plaza Singapura! Didn't take any photos because he just walked past me and I was just soaking in his aura.

Had dinner at Itacho Sushi Plaza Sing (still as delicious, service still needs to be improved) with gf then we headed to The Cathay for the movie screening!

 Hayley and Crystal!
I am damn lucky. With George Young! :)
THIRD TIME: Wu Chun walked right in front of me!!

After that we enjoyed the movie.

I was quite impressed by the CGI effects! Saw a few effects that I've never seen in movies before and it was really interesting! I shan't spoil it for you but it's pretty cool.

After the movie screening!
