Happy 5th Birthday Nuffnang!

It's the 5th birthday of Nuffnang coming up next week and I wanted to say a big..

CONGRATULATIONS!

What I hope to see in Nuffnang for the next 5 years!

1) Nuffnang expands to more regions in in the world!
Not just Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and Philippines, but Thailand, Indonesia, China and Hong Kong! After conquering Asia, even America and Europe too! There's just so much potential to grow, especially since blogs can be accessed from anywhere in the world (as long as you have an internet connection, assuming your blog isn't blocked etc etc) and that gives VAST advertising opportunities! Especially for brand building and marketing efforts.

2) Nuffnang has a chill out lounge!

I've been to the Nuffnang office, it's an awesome working space, very cosy and open environment. A great place to work in! With a chill out lounge, bloggers can pop by any time to just sit down and chat, possibly have weekly get togethers, hopefully a pool table? Or a pinball machine? :D

Chillin' out.

3) Nuffnang has an expanded clientele!
Ranging from all industries, from low tier, mid tier to high end! Everything! Nuffnang becomes an experience rather than just a job :)

Thanks so much for EVERYTHING Nuffnang!

To Nuffnang taking over the world!! :D

Give me a break...

Recess week is here. But obviously, it is not a holiday for you unless you're on exchange. Sigh.

I have tuition from tues-sat, (and today because they weren't free) and worse, project meetings from mon to weds, and i think thurs and fri also, maybe, but it depends because crystal isn't free, so maybe it'll be our 205 meeting.

SO MANY DEADLINES IN MARCH!!!!!

And I haven't heard anything about my internship yet. Sigh!!

Maybe they secretly googled my name and found this blog and didn't like me. Or maybe they facebook'ed me.

I need a holiday.

Thailand end of july, beginning of september, anyone? Batam? Bali? Tioman? Desperate.. Taiwan???

Ooh I AM looking forward to the Singapore Entertainment AWards (SHINEE!! SHOU LUO!!!) and the Chicago musical. ARGHH HAPPINESS!!

Alice in Wonderland. SNEAKS.

My jaw dropped, my brain screamed "HOLY F*" and I am now shivering in excitement. (Also from the cold. It is too cold here)

Tim Burton is producing Alice in Wonderland. F*. It's mind blasting. It's coming out in 2010 and I am going to pay ALOT to just catch it. Holy shit I am so excited I can't think coherently. But I did research on it.

"Work is underway on Tim Burton's decidedly un-Disney adaptation of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland," and the principal cast has been announced. The latest additions to be made public are Anne Hathaway (pictured above), who catapulted to fame in "The Princess Diaries" and will reportedly portray the White Queen, and Crispin Glover (center), who is coming off of "Beowulf" (and was so memorable in "Back to the Future") and is slated for the Knave of Hearts role. Johnny Depp (right) is the Mad Hatter in a movie that Burton told me he hoped would have "a gravity that most film versions haven't had."

The filmmaker turns to Depp a lot, of course, (this is their seventh project together) and he also is steady in his screen devotion to his partner, Helena Bonham Carter (pictured below, at left) who will be the Red Queen in "Alice." (Burton's movie, like the 1950s Disney adaptation, will apparently combine the Queen of Hearts from "Alice's Adventures" with the Red Queen from "Through the Looking Glass," but that's a conversation for another day.) The title "Alice" role belongs to Aussie newcomer Mia Wasikowska (middle picture, and you can see some photos of her in the role in England in September right here) while British funny guy Matt Lucas (pictured at right, of the U.K. sketch show "Little Britain") will play the rotund dimwits Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Lots more to come on this film...."

Taken from here.

Who the hell is this prick that is playing Alice?!?! Why can't they get like, I don't know, some cuter looking girl who screams Alice?!?! How dare she star next to my favourite actors who totally rocked Sweeney Todd?!?! What the f*!!

If she ruins this show for me I will draw all over her face and print it and paste it all over the walls... of my room. And shoot daggers and darts at her.

Check this out. (pictures)

It looks... dark. I love it already. Can't you tell how awesome this movie is going to be?!?! (don't think about Alice.)

I don't care if it gives little kids nightmares. In fact, make it NC-16 just so those screaming un-appreciative children will not get in the way.

:(

Sorry, really too excited.

Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen

The Red Queen is the villain of the second book, "Through the Looking Glass," though in many adaptations the character is combined with the Queen of Hearts from the first story. In the original illustrations, she is depicted as a legless chess piece. For the movie, Bonham Carter's head will be digitally enlarged to about three times its actual size. She has worked on five previous movies with Burton, and they have two children together.

Anne Hathaway as the White Queen Anne Hathaway as the White Queen

In "Through the Looking Glass," the White Queen claims to be over one hundred and one years old, but she seems to experience time backwards. So it follows Carroll's twisted logic that when Alice returns the Queen would be young. While Anne Hathaway looks very different in the role with her long white hair, her appearance will not be digitally manipulated. Hathaway told MTV that while she was happy to get a chance to work with Burton, she was most excited to share scenes with Johnny Depp. She said, "I wish I could be so cool about it [but] I am such a huge fan, I felt really embarrassed. He would catch me staring at him."

Lucky Anne Hathaway. And I love Helena Carter. She's so intense!!!

This is the plot: Alice, now 17, attends a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to in front of hundreds of snooty society types. She runs off, following the white rabbit into a hole and ending up in Wonderland, a place she visited 10 years before yet doesn't remember. Wonderland was a peaceful kingdom until the Red Queen overthrew her sister. The creatures of Wonderland, ready to revolt, wait for Alice to help them

Wikipedia tells me that 'The film is due for release on March 5, 2010'

Really, damn excited.
